This drama mini-series follows a group of friends from the South Sudanese community living in Sunshine, a suburb in the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia. The young men get entangled in a crime as they are hoping to make it as professional basketball players.

Sunshine is a three-part comedy drama that began on 7 October 2008 on BBC1 from the co-writers of The Royle Family and Early Doors. These co-writers, Craig Cash and Phil Mealey, also appear in the series.

The story of Sunshine follows the life of Jacob, a young, aspiring South Sudanese-Australian basketball player who is on the cusp of being picked up by US scouts for the US College league. Jacob's team is not up to his standard and so he angles to bring in a better coach. His choice is Eddie, a local guy in his 50's, who once played for a US college team, but has long since retired and operates a small sports store in Sunshine, a suburb in the west of Melbourne. Almost against his best instincts, he accepts an approach by Jacob to coach his under performing team, The Sunshine Kings. In the midst of aspiring to win at all costs, Jacob finds himself answering to Sunshine-raised lawyer Zara Skelton when he is caught up in a police investigation involving a teenage girl from one of Melbourne's affluent suburbs.

A weekend full of work is awaiting Vera. But when her ex-husband drops their sick daughter at hers, she can't keep any deadlines anymore. A close-to-life comedy/tragedy about a small family with a lot of humour.

A family's camping trip turns into a nightmare when a gang of bank robbers forces the son to guide them through the wilderness to a secret airstrip.
